What is Catechesis?

Trinity Lutheran Church holds Wednesday night Catechesis from 6:30-7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. Catechesis begins with “Learn By Heart,” a speaking back and forth of scripture verses, Luther’s Small Catechism and hymnody. This is followed by a “teaching service,” which consists of an extended, but simple explanation of Scripture passages placed between an opening hymn and closing prayers.
