Prayer for Saturday.

  1. Jesus Christ, Son of God, let me this day again commend unto Thee my body and soul, and, at last, when I depart from this vale of sorrow, grant me a blessed departure that I may appear faultless and pure in Thy holy sight, and permitted to hear Thy joyous voice saying, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”

Ever faithful Father in heaven, It lieth not in the compass of my power or might sufficiently to thank and praise Thee for all Thy goodness which Thou hast shown unto me all my life, even down to this moment, for I am mere flesh and blood which can do no good thing. Without measure, Thou causest Thy grace to abound to me daily, and if Thou hadst not been my stay and shield this night, Satan’s power had harmed me much, that I could not have risen again in health. By Thy gracious guardianship I have been wholly defended, and I beseech Thee most heartily to let Thy grace abound to me ward this day, and graciously defend me, Thy child, by the price of Christ’s blood, henceforth unto everlasting life. Amen. Lord Jesus, receive my soul into Thy hands, and let it be commended unto Thee. Amen.

Prayer for Friday.

  1. In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ Who has redeemed us with His precious blood, I do now arise. May He defend me against all evil, and preserve my body and soul; granting me also whatsoever shall prosper and confirm me in all good, unto eternal life. Amen.

Prayer for Thursday.

  1. Lord, hear my prayer and let my cry come unto Thee. Hide not Thy face from me for I am poor and needy. Incline Thine ear unto me. When I cry unto Thee, hear me and answer me.

Under Thy good pleasure, O Lord Jesus Christ, I submit all that I do or leave undone, my beginnings and my endings, and commend unto Thee my body and soul, my kin and acquaintances, together with all my possessions. By the guardianship of Thy holy angels Thou hast this night protected me; and, I beseech Thee, condescend this day also to guard and defend me from all evil. Vouchsafe unto me and all my relatives and friends whatsoever we need unto the maintenance of this temporal life; and, as a merciful father, care for us. Save us from war and pestilence, from famine and from evil trials, and, at last, receive us into Thy eternal kingdom, the heavenly paradise. Amen.  (Seed-Grains of Prayer: A Manual for Evangelical Christians by William Loehe, Wartburg Publishing House, 1914, Pages 321-322)

Prayer for Wednesday

163″Sing unto the Lord a new song.
Sing unto the Lord, O earth!
Sing forth the honor of His Name.
Let day proclaim unto day the salvation of our God. O come, let us sing unto the Lord our God a new song. May He bless and preserve me,—The Father, Who created me, The Son, Who redeemed me, The Holy Ghost, Who sanctified me. Amen.

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost, blessed and most holy Trinity, abide with me this day and at all times. Let me now, together with all the elect of God, arise unto one faith and one confession thereof in like confidence and hope of God. Let me arise from all my sin and sorrow to the grace and comfort of God and unto eternal life in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayer for Tuesday.

  1. Hear, O Lord, the prayers of all who call upon Thee, according to the benediction of Aaron (Num. 6), upon Thy people, that all who dwell in the earth may acknowledge that Thou, Lord, art the everlasting God. (Sir. 36.) Let the people praise Thee, O God; let all the people praise Thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase. The Lord, our God shall bless us: the Lord shall bless us, and all the earth shall fear Him. Amen. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, I, a poor, miserable sinner, am about to rise in Thy name. Thou wast crucified and didst die for me, and with Thy precious blood didst redeem me upon the cross. Govern, sanctify, and defend me in body and soul, and strengthen me unto all good works. Be my defense against every evil, and after this life grant me the life eternal. Amen.

Prayer for Monday

  1. God, be merciful unto us and bless us. Make Thy countenance to shine upon us that we may acknowledge Thy ways in all the earth. The Lord, our God, bless us. The Lord bless us and grant us peace. Amen.

O Holy and Ever Faithful God, Heavenly Father, most heartily do I praise, laud, and magnify Thee, that Thou hast granted me to rest and sleep in safety during the night now past, and hast caused me to awake refreshed and in good health, through Thy Fatherly love. Most heartily do I beseech Thee, graciously to defend me and all believing Christians, this day and through all the days, against all harm and danger in body and soul, that I may always yield unto Thy will. Into Thy care and guidance I commend myself, body, soul, heart, mind, will, and thought, and all my purposes, my walks and ways, my rising up and my lying down, my coming in and my going out, my life and death, and all that I am or have. Let Thy holy angel have charge concerning me, to defend me from all harm in body and soul. I ask it for Jesus Christ, Thy dear Son’s sake. Amen.

Prayer for The Lord’s Day.

  1. Behold, He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord preserve me from all evil: the Lord preserve my soul. The Lord preserve my going out and coming in forevermore. The Lord bless me and keep me: the Lord make His face to shine upon me and be gracious unto me: the Lord lift up His countenance upon me and grant me peace. Amen.

O, ever blessed Trinity, unto Thy grace I commend my all this day,—this Sunday,—my body and soul, my walks and ways, and all my deeds and undertakings; and beseech Thee to open my heart and my lips rightly to praise Thy name,—holy above every other name. Since Thou hast created me unto the glory of Thy holy name, let me so live that I may honor and serve Thee in love and fear. Amen.

Prayer for Saturday.

  1. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who hath blessed us with spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ; in Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; wherein He hath abounded unto us, and made us to know the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure: in Whom also we have obtained an inheritance and are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance until our redemption as His purchased possession, unto the praise of His glory. May He fill us with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that we walk worthy of our Lord unto all pleasing, being faithful in every good work, and increasing in knowledge of God; strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, to the glorious day of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto the honor and glory of God. Unto Him, the only true God, Eternal King, immortal, invisible, and omniscient, be honor and glory forever. Amen. The Lord’s Prayer. The Creed. Psalm 146. The Gloria Patri. Prayer for Friday.

  1. Lord Jesus Christ, patient Lamb of Sacrifice, and holy Propitiation for my sins, not mine alone, but the sins of the whole world; once again I thank Thee with my whole heart that Thou hast this day so paternally defended me with Thy protection in body and soul. I pray Thee, graciously pardon and forgive all my sins which I have this day committed through the weakness of my evil nature or through precipitation, and which now oppress my heart and conscience. I am about to lay me down to rest and sleep. Cause Thy grace to overshadow me that, sheltered thus, I may this night rest my limbs in peace but with the soul be evermore awake unto Thee. Cause me also to realize Thy glorious coming again unto judgment, and eagerly to await Thee even unto the day when, at last, I shall pass hence unto Thee in Thy salvation. To all this help me, gracious Redeemer, Who, together with the Father and the Holy Ghost, art praised and glorified forever. Amen. The Lord’s Prayer. The Creed. Psalm 15. The Gloria Patri. Prayer for Thursday.

  1. Lord Jesus Christ, cover me this night with the mantle of Thy gracious, blood-bought merit. Be with me when I pray. Strengthen me in my prayer even as the angel from heaven strengthened Thee on Olivet against Thine anguish of death. Be with me when death overtakes me, and strengthen Thou me that neither devil nor world may bring any evil against me. Amen. The Lord’s Prayer. Psalm 4.  The Gloria Patri.
