Welcome to Trinity Lutheran Church
Everything comes forth from the Triune God. Having created all things, the Heavenly Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us by His suffering, death, and resurrection. The Holy Spirit works through the Gospel message to create and sustain faith in this forgiveness of our sins.
Our God “has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2 Cor 4:6). “When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ My heart said to You, ‘Your face, Lord, I will seek’” (Psalm 27:8). In all things, we seek the face of our Lord Jesus Christ and his forgiveness.
At Trinity Lutheran Church, we have been called, gathered, enlightened and sanctified in the one true faith. Having been baptized into Christ, we seek to be faithful to the God of our salvation. Just as the baptized believers at Pentecost, “continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42), we support “the Ministry of teaching the Gospel and administering the Sacraments” (Augsburg Confession V) in our midst. “For thank God, a child seven years old knows what the Church is, namely, the holy believers and sheep who hear the voice of their Shepherd. For the children pray thus, ‘I believe in one holy Christian Church’” (Smalcald Articles III XII).
The Divine Service of Lord’s Supper is offered on Sundays and other festival days. We retain the usual public ceremonies of the liturgy in order to teach Scriptural truths concerning true fear and faith in the Triune God. Sunday Adult Bible class and children’s Sunday school provide additional opportunities for meditating upon the Word of God. We offer simple catechetical training in the basics of our faith on Wednesday evenings for children, parents and adults. This catechetical service is also offered on Sunday evenings at a preaching station in Lake Glendale. Also, we regard the absolution offered in Private Confession to be the very voice of the Gospel for troubled consciences (John 20:22-23).
