On Receiving the Bread.

GLORY be to Thee, O Lord Jesus Christ! Welcome to my soul, Lord Jesus, with the precious food of Thy most holy body, which, with the consecrated bread, Thou now givest me to eat in Thy sacrament, as Thou gavest it for me in Thy bitter death on the cross, for the forgiveness of my sins. May this bless me unto everlasting life. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.147).

After the Benediction 4.

O GOD, the life of the faithful, the bliss of the righteous: Mercifully receive the prayers of Thy suppliants that the souls which thirst for Thy promises may evermore be filled from Thine abundance; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.  (Oremus, 1925, p.153).

Before the Holy Communion 4.

COUNT us worthy of this communion also, O God of Truth, and make our bodies to contain purity and our souls prudence and knowledge; and make us wise, O God of Compassions, by the participation of the body and blood, because through Thy Only-Begotten to Thee is glory and strength in the Holy Spirit, now and to all the ages of the ages. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.141).

Before the Holy Communion 2.

WE RENDER Thee thanks, O Lord our God, that Thou hast given us boldness to enter into the Holiest, through the Blood of Jesus, by the new and living Way Which Thou hast consecrated through the veil of flesh of Thy Christ; therefore, thus entering into the tabernacle of Thy glory and brought within the veil, we fall down before Thee, full of fear and dread … but Thou, O Lord, send forth Thy grace, and hallow our souls, bodies and spirits, that so with pure hearts we may in receiving forgiveness offer to Thee a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; through the Same Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.140 adapted).

Before Preaching 2.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, the source and perfection of all virtues: Grant that our pastor may both do what is right, and preach what is true: that both by action and teaching that Thy faithful people may receive the instruction which is of Thy grace; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.  (Oremus, 1925, p.138, adapted).

While Vesting.

GIVE me again, Lord, the robe of immortality which I lost by the sin of the first parents, and although I am unworthy to come unto Thy holy sacrament, grant that I may attain everlasting joy; Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.131).

As Occasion Permits 5.

VISIT and cleanse our consciences, Lord, we beseech Thee: That coming, our Lord, Jesus Christ, Thy Son, may find in us a mansion prepared for Himself; through the Same Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.132).

For Choirs 1.

O GOD in Whose temple at Jerusalem were appointed singers and those skilled in instruments of music to set forth Thy praises: Be present, we beseech Thee, with us Thy servants, and grant that in this our service we may worship Thee in spirit and in truth, and at last be found meet to glorify Thy name in Thy temple which is on high; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.  (Oremus, 1925, p.132-133).

Before the Altar 1.

GLORY be to Thee, O Holy and Ever-Blessed Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

THOU art worthy to receive glory and honor and power. Blessing, honor, glory and power be unto Him That sitteth upon the Throne, and to the Lamb, for ever and ever. Amen.

(Oremus, 1925, p.136).
