ALMIGHTY God, the Father and Maker of us all, Who of Thy blessing and goodness hast vouchsafed to make me a father of children: Be pleased also to accept my hearty thanksgiving and devout praise for the same; and grant me Thy heavenly grace and assistance so to train them up in Thy godly nurture, virtue, religion and discipline, that they may continually serve, honor, and obey Thee, their heavenly Father; and that Thou, acknowledging them and blessing them as Thy children here, mayst bring them to the blessing prepared for Thy children hereafter; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. ALMIGHTY and Everlasting God, be Thou present to our duties, and grant the protection of Thy presence to all that dwell in this house, that Thou mayest be known to be the Defender of Thy family, and the Inhabitant of this dwelling; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. ALMIGHTY God, our Heavenly Father, Who dost feed the birds and clothe the flowers, and carest for us as a father for his children: We beseech Thee, graciously guard us against distrust and vain over-carefulness, and help us, through Thy Holy Spirit, to live to the hallowing of Thy name, the coming of Thy Kingdom and the doing of Thy will, so that we may cast all our care on Thee and in unwavering faith abide trustingly in Thee; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. GRANT, O Lord, that Thy servants, devoted to Thy service, and confiding in Thy protection, may obtain the blessing which they humbly implore; that being at rest under Thy defense, they may not be left destitute of assistance for this life, and may be prepared for the good things which are eternal; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. WE have sinned, O Lord, we confess, like prodigal sons; we dare not look up to heaven: for it was thence we fell and became wretched; we have sinned against heaven and before Thee, and we are not worthy to be called Thy sons, we denounce ourselves, we need neither accusers nor witnesses, we have iniquity triumphing over us, we have evil conversation condemning us: Merciful Father, Only-Begotten Son, Holy Ghost, receive us penitent, and have mercy upon us. O GOD, Who dost call all men to Thee, and Who dost graciously receive all them that come: Vouchsafe Thy pardon to all those who here confess their sins; bestow the comfort of Thy Spirit on those who humbly and faithfully bring Thee their needs and sorrows; accept the praise and worship that are offered here; and grant that many may find Thee in this place, and finding Thee, be filled in soul and body with all things needful; and finally with all Thine own, be united in that communion with Thee which is eternal in the heavens, where Thou livest and reignest ever One God, world without end.
