To Jesus, the Life of our flesh, Who quickeneth Whom He willeth:  To Jesus, the Life of our soul, Who came that we might live more abundantly:  To Jesus, the Life of His Church, Who loved her and gave Himself for her:  Let all in earth, and in Paradise, reconciled by His death, and saved by His life, give glory and honor, worship and praise, now and for evermore. I love thee, O Father, Who didst give Thy Son for me. I love Thee, O Christ, Who on the cross didst die for me. (Oremus, 1925, p.23).

ALMIGHTY, Eternal God, through Whom that which is not beginneth to be, and that which is hidden is made manifest: Cleanse the folly of our hearts and purify us of those vices which are secret, so that we may be able to serve Thee, O Lord, with a pure mind; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end.
