O GOOD Shepherd, Who, for the ransom of Thy mortal sheep, hast drunk the cup of the Passion: We humbly call upon Thy Name, that, stablishing us upon the pillars of wisdom, Thou wouldest strengthen us with the hallowing of Thy sevenfold Spirit; who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.38).

For Grace to Praise God 5
ALMIGHTY and. Holy Spirit, the Comforter pure, living, true: Illuminate, govern, sanctify me, and confirm my heart and mind in the faith, and in all genuine consolation ; preserve and rule over me, that dwelling in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, I may be and remain forever in the temple of the Lord, and praise Him with a joyful spirit in union with all the heavenly Church; Who with the Father are one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.37).
For the Holy Ghost 5
ALMIGHTY, Everlasting God, lighten our eyes with the light of Thy Spirit, that we sleep not in evil deeds, but with the help of His grace, may ever watch in Thy commandments, and, when Christ cometh, may pass to the reward of our high calling; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.26).
For Victory in Temptation 3.
ALMIGHTY God, the Preserver of Thy people in their invisible wars, Who permittest not them that put their trust in Thee to be oppressed by their enemies: Wipe away, we beseech Thee, the tears of sin from the eyes of Thy servants, to the end that we through Thy grace may both now conquer in every carnal battle, and walk before Thee in the Light of the living; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.53).
In Adversity 2.
O GOD, be Thou to us in adversity Refuge, in battle Consolation, to the end that when Thou shalt come to judge the earth, they may be sharers with Thee in joy, who have been followers after Thee in sorrow: through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.54-55).
Temper and Tongue.
O LORD, our Refuge from the storm, hide us, we entreat Thee, in Thine Own presence from the provoking of all men; and by Thy holy love and fear keep us from sins of temper and tongue; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.51).
For Deliverance from Temptation 2.
O LORD, my Support and Refuge, deliver me from temptation, give me the defence of Thy salvation, hold me up with Thy right hand, teach me by Thy discipline, and make my way and my life undefiled; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.52).
For Renewal.
WE have walked long enough, O Lord, according to the old man, give us grace to be renewed daily according to the grace of the Holy Spirit, that we may so watch over our words, and reckon our deeds, that we may finally come to Everlasting Life; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.54).
For Divine Aid in One’s Calling.
LORD God, Thou hast placed me in Thy Church as a bishop and pastor: Thou seest how unfit I am to fulfill this great and responsible office. Had it not been for Thy wisdom and guidance, I would long since have brought everything to destruction. Therefore do I cry unto Thee. Most willingly do I desire to give and conform my mouth and heart to Thy service. I desire to teach the people; and long, continually, to be taught Thy Word. Deign to use me as Thy workman, dear Lord. Only do not Thou forsake me, for if Thou forsake me, I alone shall bring all to nought. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.24).
Before a Journey 4.
GRANT, we beseech Thee, Almighty God, that Thy family may walk in the way of salvation, and, by following the counsels of St. John the Forerunner, may come in safety unto Him, Whom he preached, Thy Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.46-47).
