On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00.
In this video from March 15, 2017, we learned stanza 2 of “A Lamb Goes Uncomplaining Forth” (The Lutheran Hymnal, #142), the third and fourth question under The Sacrament of the Altar from the Small Catechism, and Hebrews 10:26. This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains the casting out of the demon from the mute man and the various responses (Luke 11:14-28), which is the Holy Gospel for Oculi (Lent 3) Sunday.
The service concludes with “Responsive Prayer for Catechesis 2017” (pdf link below). [Length: 1 hour, 6 minutes]
