Catechesis on Reminiscere (St. Matthew 15:21-28) 2022

On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM.

This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service.  The dialog sermon explains “The Canaanite Woman” (St. Matthew 15:21-28), which is the Holy Gospel for Lent Two.

The teaching for Learn-by-Heart will include hymn #99, stanza 2 of “Jesus, Lover of My Soul,” Small Catechism, Sacrament of the Altar, questions 4 and 5, and Philippians 3:9 or 1 Corinthians 2:14.

Catechesis on Reminiscere/Lent 2 2020 (St. Matthew 15-21-28)

On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church (Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00.

In this video from March 4, 2020, we learned stanza 3-4 of “glory Be To Jesus” (Lutheran Worship #98) and the Lord’s Supper, Fourth question and the meaning of the Lord’s Prayer.  This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service.  The dialog sermon explains “The Canaanite Woman” (St. Matthew 15:21-28), which is the Holy Gospel for Lent Two.

The service concludes with “Recite Word by Word.”    [Length: 59 minutes]
