Catechesis on Trinity Nineteen – October 2, 2024

On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church (Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM.

This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains Jesus’ healing of the paralytic (St. Matthew 9:1-8), which is the Holy Gospel for the Nineteenth Sunday after Trinity.

Learn-by-Heart will include “We All Believe in One True God” (The Augustana Service Book and Hymnal #57, LW 212, TLH 252), Small Catechism, Apostles’ Creed, 3rd Article and meaning, and John 10:22-23.
