For Peace 2.

VOUCHSAFE, O Lord, to look down from Thy holy heaven upon the children of men, and give us to know the way of peace; that we, being set free from the hard captivity of vice, may enjoy the habitations of the heavenly Jerusalem; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.63-64).

For Forgiveness 5.

WE have sinned, O Lord, we confess, like prodigal sons; we dare not look up to heaven: for it was thence we fell and became wretched; we have sinned against heaven and before Thee, and we are not worthy to be called Thy sons, we denounce ourselves, we need neither accusers nor witnesses, we have iniquity triumphing over us, we have evil conversation condemning us: Merciful Father, Only-Begotten Son, Holy Ghost, receive us penitent, and have mercy upon us. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.62).
