Morning Prayer for Friday. 2

In Thy Name, O crucified Lord Jesus Christ, I, a miserably great sinner, have risen. O Thou, Who in my stead hast meekly suffered the most painful death on the holy cross as a truly meek Lamb of Sacrifice, and with Thy crimson blood hast redeemed me from all my transgressions, from death, the devil, and from hell; direct me and so govern my heart by Thy Holy Spirit that it may be revived and refreshed with the heavenly dew of Thy grace. By Thy divine love, preserve me through this and all the days, and hide me, body and soul, within Thy holy wounds. Cleanse me from all sins. Keep me in all good works. And finally lead me from this vale of sorrow into eternal joy and glory, O most faithful Redeemer, Jesus Christ, my only comfort, hope, and life. Amen. (Page 357)
