On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM.
This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains Prayer (St. John 16:23-33), which is the Holy Gospel for the Fifth Sunday in Easter.
Learn-by-Heart will include the hymn “We Thank Thee, Jesus Dearest Friend (Ascension)” (The Augustana Service Book and Hymnal), Small Catechism, Table of Duties: To Workers of All Kinds: Eph 6:5-8; To Employers and Supervisors: Eph 6:9, and St. John 16:33.
