O LORD, my Support and Refuge, deliver me from temptation, give me the defence of Thy salvation, hold me up with Thy right hand, teach me by Thy discipline, and make my way and my life undefiled; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.52).

For Renewal.
WE have walked long enough, O Lord, according to the old man, give us grace to be renewed daily according to the grace of the Holy Spirit, that we may so watch over our words, and reckon our deeds, that we may finally come to Everlasting Life; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.54).
For Divine Aid in One’s Calling.
LORD God, Thou hast placed me in Thy Church as a bishop and pastor: Thou seest how unfit I am to fulfill this great and responsible office. Had it not been for Thy wisdom and guidance, I would long since have brought everything to destruction. Therefore do I cry unto Thee. Most willingly do I desire to give and conform my mouth and heart to Thy service. I desire to teach the people; and long, continually, to be taught Thy Word. Deign to use me as Thy workman, dear Lord. Only do not Thou forsake me, for if Thou forsake me, I alone shall bring all to nought. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.24).
Before a Journey 4.
GRANT, we beseech Thee, Almighty God, that Thy family may walk in the way of salvation, and, by following the counsels of St. John the Forerunner, may come in safety unto Him, Whom he preached, Thy Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord, Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.46-47).
For Control of One’s Tongue 4.
O LORD, Most High, be Thou our Helper, and make haste with speed to deliver Thy people, that by Thine abundant power we may be filled with mighty help, and be enriched with gifts from the bounty of Thine abundant grace, that our tongue may not become slow through falsehood when we profess love to Thee with our mouth, but let that profession of our mouth denote purity of mind, and let Thy praise ever sound on our lips from the organ of the heart; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.50-51).
For Victory in Temptation.
O GOD, the Might of all them that put their trust in Thee: Grant that we may be more than conquerors over all that make war upon our souls, and in the end may enter into perfect peace in Thy presence; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen (Oremus, 1925, p.52).
Pillow-prayer.
GOD the Father bless me,
God the Son defend me
God the Holy Ghost preserve me;
Now and forever. Amen.
(Oremus, 1925, p.20).
Adoration 4
SPIRIT of Life, Who fillest all the world, I worship and adore Thee.
Spirit of Light, Who teachest all the Truth, I worship and adore Thee.
Source of all gifts of nature and of grace, of knowledge natural and supernatural, I worship and adore Thee.
As Thou hast made and endowed me, taught and reproved me, borne with me, recovered me, restored me; now with the ardor of a quickened soul, with the devotion of an humble mind, with the best homage of a thankful heart,
Lord and Giver-of-Life, I worship and adore Thee. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.22).
For the Holy Ghost
Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us, and the brightness of Thy Spirit illumine our inward souls, that He may kindle our cold hearts and light up our dark minds, Who abideth evermore with Thee in glory. (Oremus, 1925, p.26).
For the Holy Ghost 4
O MERCIFUL Lord, Who understandest the groaning of the contrite heart before it is expressed, make us, we pray Thee, the temple of the Paraclete, to the end that we may be crowned with the shield of celestial mercy; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.26).
