201. Unto Thee, O Gracious God, I render thanks, glory and honor for Thy goodness and loving-kindness which Thou hast this day shown unto me, even though I am a sinner, unworthy to be called Thy child. I know that Thy mercy is very great,—greater far than my sins and the sins of all the world. Therefore, I confess unto Thee all my sins and transgressions which I have this day, or even all my days from my youth up, committed against Thee, and beseech Thee, pardon and blot out all these, and have mercy upon me, through Thy grace, as Thy beloved child. Give Thy holy angels charge concerning me, that I may this night and all the days to come be defended against all harm to body or soul. Unto Thee I commend myself wholly, in life and in death. Let me ever be and remain with Thee. Amen. (Seed-Grains of Prayer: A Manual for Evangelical Christians by William Loehe, Wartburg Publishing House, 1914, Pages 347-348)
