159. May the Lord grant us peace; a realization of our sins; and the amendment of our sinful lives through true faith in Jesus Christ; and, after this life, the life eternal. Amen.
I beseech Thee, Lord Jesus Christ, abide with me this night, so that when my body rests my soul may be alert to keep Thee ever before my heart and mind, to guard me from all evil. Let Thy holy angel guard me that the enemy come not nigh unto me; but that Thou, O Lord, abide alone with me. Let also all that Thou hast given me be so commended unto Thee, and receive all under Thy guardianship to defend them against all evil and preserve them unto eternal life. Amen.
