Catechesis to prepare for the Twelfth Sunday after Trinity at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 Link to Live Stream
On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM.
This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains Jesus’ healing of the deaf and mute man (St. Mark 7:31-37), which is the Holy Gospel for the Twelfth Sunday after Trinity.
Learn-by-Heart will include the hymn “O Christ, Our True and Only Light” (The Augustana Service Book and Hymnal #50), Small Catechism, Ninth & Tenth Commandments and meaning, and Ephesians 2:8-9.
