On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM.
This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains Jesus’ feeding of the 4,000 (St. Mark 8:1-9), which is the Holy Gospel for the Seventh Sunday after Trinity.
Learn-by-Heart will include the hymn “Wondrous King, All-Glorious” (The Augustana Service Book and Hymnal #45), Small Catechism, Fifth and Sixth Commandments and meanings, and St. Matthew 6:33.
