For Grace to do One’s Work 2

O LORD, give us the grace of Thy Spirit, early to seek out, and evermore earnestly to follow, the work which Thou hast appointed us to do; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.25).

For the Holy Ghost.

HEAVENLY King, Paraclete, Spirit of Truth Who art everywhere present and fillest all things, the Treasury of good things and the Bestower of life: Come and dwell in us, and purify us from every stain, and save our souls, in Thy goodness; Who with the Father livest and reignest, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.25-26).

Faith.

I BELIEVE in Thee, O God, the Father, my Maker.  I believe in Thee, O God, the Son, my Savior.  I believe in Thee, O God, the Holy Ghost, my Helper.  Glory be to Thee, O Holy Trinity, One God. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.23).

Love 2.

I love Thee, O Holy Ghost, Who didst call me, and dost sanctify me. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.24).

For Devout Mindedness.

O LORD, with Whom is the fulness of salvation and the perfection of blessedness: Grant that we may pass our time both by day and by night in the meditation of Thy law, so that, like a fruitful tree planted by the rivers of Thy grace, we may bring forth fruit here and may be crowned with glory hereafter; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.35-36).

For Faith 2

ALMIGHTY Merciful God, we humbly beseech Thee to increase faith in us that we may walk in Thy obedience and obtain the end of faith, even the salvation of our souls; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.33).

For Divine Guidance and Protection 4.

SHOW Thy marvelous loving kindness, O Lord, hide us under the shadow of Thy wings, keep us as the apple of Thine eye, that our goings may be perfected in Thy paths; and we may appear with Thee in righteousness and be satisfied when Thy glory shall appear; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.43-44).

For Consecration.

O HOLY Spirit, Love of God, infuse Thy grace, and descend plentifully into my heart; enlighten the dark corners of this neglected dwelling, and scatter there Thy brightening beams; dwell in that soul that longs to be Thy temple; water that barren soil, overrun with weeds and briars, and lost for want of cultivating, and make it fruitful with Thy dew from heaven. O come Thou Refreshment of them that languish and faint. Come Thou Star and Guide of them that sail in the tempestuous sea of the world; Thou only Haven of the tossed and ship-wrecked. Come Thou Glory and Crown of the living, and only Safeguard of the dying. Come, Holy Spirit, in much mercy, and make me fit to receive Thee, Who with the Father are one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.39-40).

For Grace to do One’s Work.

O GOD, who hast commanded that no man should be idle: Give us grace to employ all our talents and faculties in the service appointed for us, that, whatsoever our hand findeth to do, we may do it with our might. Cheerfully may we go on in the road which Thou hast marked out, not desiring too earnestly that it should be either more smooth or wide’ but daily, seeking our way by Thy Light may we trust ourselves and the issue of our journey to Thee, the Fountain of Joy, and sing songs of praise as we go along. Then, O Lord, receive us at the gate of life which Thou hast opened for us in Christ Jesus, to Whom be the glory and the power, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.24-25).

Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.24).
