JESUS, Master, do Thou meet us while we walk in the way, and long to reach the heavenly country, so that following Thy light, we may keep the way of righteousness, and never wander away into the horrible darkness of this world’s night, while Thou, Who art the Way, the Truth, and the Life, art shining within us; Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.154-155).

O MERCIFUL Lord, Who understandest the groaning of the contrite heart before it is expressed, make us, we pray Thee, the temple of the Paraclete, to the end that we may be crowned with the shield of celestial mercy; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.26).

GRANT, O Lord, that as I have now celebrated Thy worship (and received Thy holy sacrament), so I may likewise, by Thy grace, do honor to Thee in all my daily life; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.  (Oremus, 1925, p.152).

GOING on from strength to strength, and having fulfilled all the Divine service in Thy temple, even now we beseech Thee, Lord our God, make us worthy of perfect loving-kindness, make straight our path, root us in Thy fear, and make us worthy of the heavenly Kingdom, in Christ Jesus our Lord, with Whom Thou art blessed, together with Thy all-holy and good and quickening Spirit, now and always and unto the ages. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.152).

I pray that the hand of the truth may be stretched out and blessing given to this people on account of Thy lovingkindness, O God of compassion:  May a hand of piety and power and sound discipline and cleanness and all holiness, bless this people, and continually preserve it to advancement and improvement, through Thy Only-Begotten Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.151-152).

FINISHED and accomplished as far as in us lieth, O Christ, our God, is the mystery of Thy dispensation; for we have had the memorial of Thy death, we have seen the figure of Thy resurrection, we have been filled with Thine imperishable life, we have had delight in Thy delicacies, in which there is no satiety, and which do Thou be pleased to award to us all in the world to come, by the grace of Thine eternal Father, and of the holy, good, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.151).

Ah, Jesus, what canst Thou refuse me, when Thou hast given me Thyself and where is the confidence that can be too tender? Why should I envy Thy beloved disciple who leaned on Thy breast at Thy last supper? For dost Thou not at present rest in my heart? O let me, then, be forever inviolably attached to Thee! Let the sweets of Thy presence so captivate my soul, that disgusted with sin, it may be fixed in the contemplation of Thee, and ever listen with ready obedience to Thy holy inspiration; Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.151).

THOU hast given unto us, O Lord, sanctification in the communion of the all-holy body and precious blood of Thy Only-Begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ; give unto us also the grace of Thy Good Spirit, and keep us blameless in the faith, lead us into perfect adoption and redemption, and to the coming joys of eternity; for Thou art our sanctification and light, O God, and Thy Only-Begotten Son, and Thy All-Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto the ages. Amen. (Oremus, 1925, p.150).

FIRST as to the cup: We give Thee thanks, our Father, for the Holy Vine of David, Thy servant, Which Thou hast made known to us through Jesus, Thy Servant; to Thee be the glory unto the ages. As to the broken bread: We give thanks, our Father, for the life and the knowledge which Thou hast made known unto us through Jesus, Thy Servant; to Thee be the glory unto the ages. As this broken bread was scattered over the hills, and having been gathered, became one, so may Thy Church be gathered, from the ends of the earth into Thy Kingdom; for Thine is the glory and power through Jesus Christ unto the ages.
