On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00.
This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains the Good Shepherd and the Church (St. John 10:11-16), which is the Holy Gospel for the Second Sunday in Easter.
Learn-by-Heart will include the hymn “I See Thee Standing Lamb of God” (The Augustana Service Book and Hymnal), Small Catechism, Table of Duties: Government: Romans 13:1-4, Citizens: Matt 22:21, Rom 13:5-7, 1 Tim 2:1-3, Titus 3:1, 1 Peter 2:13-14, and 1 Peter 2:2.
