Catechesis on Trinity One (St. Luke 16:19-31) 2022

On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM.

This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service.  The dialog sermon explains the story of the beggar Lazarus and the rich man (St. Luke 16:9-31), which is the Holy Gospel for the First Sunday after Trinity.

In this video from June 15, 2022, we learned Lutheran Worship #157, stanza 3-4 of ““Come, Holy Ghost, Our Souls Inspire,” Small Catechism, Table of Duties: To Workers of All Kinds:  Eph 6:5-8;  To Employers and Supervisors:  Eph 6:9, To Youth: 1 Peter 5:5-6; To Widows:  1 Tim 5:5-6; To Everyone:  Rom 13:9, 1 Tim 2:1, and Galatians 3:7
