For Obedience.

MAKE us of quick and tender conscience, O Lord; that understanding, we may obey every word of Thine, and discerning, may follow every suggestion of Thine indwelling Spirit; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.49).

Against a Froward Heart.

WE sing of mercy and judgment unto Thee, 0 Lord, our Savior and Judge, help us with the one, warn us with the other; on that side is the light of pity, on this the rule of inquiry; grant us Thy humble servants, O Lord, that a froward heart may not cleave to us, and that evil things before our eyes may not allure us; but that walking in the simplicity of innocence, Thou mayest lead us on in Thy pity and love, and absolve us as a truthful Judge; Who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.48-49).

To Rejoice in Other Men’s Success.

ALMIGHTY God, give me the power and grace to rejoice over other men’s brightness and strength and success; through Him Who laid down His life for His friends, our Master Jesus Christ who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen.  (Oremus, 1925, p.48).

Against Pride.

O LORD MOST HIGH, Who beholdest the lowly, grant us lowliness that we may please Thee, nor suffer pride to remain within us, which Thou throwest afar off and destroyest when near: that, of Thy mercy, the haughtiness which casteth down may depart from our mind, and contrition which bringeth glory may abide in our heart; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.48).

For Meekness 2.

O GOD, mercifully grant us that the fire of Thy love may burn up in us all things that displease Thee, and make us meet for Thy heavenly Kingdom; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.47-48).

For Meekness.

ALMIGHTY and everlasting God, grant that our wills be ever meekly subject to Thy will, and our hearts be ever honestly ready to serve Thee; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.47).

For Purity of Heart.

O GOD, who lovest all that is sincere and pure, and dwellest of Thy bountiful goodness in the chaste souls of the faithful: Purify us from all taint of sin, that we may always have our heart ready for Thee, and sing and play worthily unto Thee in Thy glory; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.42).

Self-Surrender.

LORD, take my lips, and speak through them; take my mind, and think through it; take my heart, and set it on fire; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.41).

For Consecration 4.

LIVING or dying, Lord, I would be Thine: Keep me Thine forever, and draw me day by day nearer to Thyself, until I be wholly filled with Thy love, and fitted to behold Thee face to face; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.41).

For Angelic Guard.

O GOD, Who in Thy unspeakable providence dost vouchsafe to send Thy holy angels to be our guard: Grant that we, Thy humble servants, may always be defended by their aid and rejoice in their everlasting fellowship; through Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord, who livest and reignest with the Father and the Holy Ghost, ever one God, world without end. Amen  (Oremus, 1925, p.47).
