Catechesis on Trinity 7 (St. Mark 8:1-9) 2021

On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church(Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00 PM.

This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service.  This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service.  The dialog sermon explains Jesus’ feeding of the 4,000 (St. Mark 8:1-9), which is the Holy Gospel for the Seventh Sunday after Trinity.

In this video from July 14, 2021, we learned hymn #478, stanza 2-3 of “Awake, My Soul, and with the Sun,” Small Catechism, Fifth Commandment and meaning,  and St. Matthew 6:33.

In this video from July 20, 2022, we learned Lutheran Worship #331 (TLH 287), stanza 5-6 of “Here is the Tenfold Sure Command,” Small Catechism, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Commandments and meanings,  and St. Matthew 5:19.
